Jack is a 10-month-old whippet with the sweetest soul and the most unforgettable look—a black spot over his eye that makes him look like a tiny pirate. But instead of treasure, this boy is on a quest to steal hearts (and he’s really good at it!).

Jack is still figuring out the world. He’s working on potty training, and yes, he thinks countertops are snack buffets. But what he lacks in manners, he makes up for with pure love. He’s not a fan of the crate—what he wants most is to be with you. He’ll follow you from room to room, happy just to be your shadow.

Though a little timid at first, Jack warms up quickly—especially if you come bearing treats. Once he feels safe, you’ll discover a gentle, affectionate pup who just wants to snuggle and be part of everything you do.

If you’ve got patience, a sense of humor, and room in your heart for a loyal sidekick, Jack is ready to love you forever.

PLEASE NOTE – WRAP does not ship, must be within a few hours from the Chicagoland area as he was very shelter and very nervous and is a flight risk. Touching states would be considered if it was the best home for Jack and the adopter. Jack will not be adopted to a home where there is no other dog, (it is preferred a sighthound) or at least a dog of his size and temperament. Also mandatory is a secured privacy fence as he was never introduced to life in general nor socialized at a younger age and only grew up with his siblings. If you are able to meet Jack’s needs and location, you can submit your application.

An adoption application is REQUIRED to be submitted before you contact a WRAP foster volunteer about this rescue or others currently available for adoption. Please submit an application. WRAP volunteers may respond to applicants and will make final decisions on adoptions. We will keep your application on file for six months.

WRAP does not ship dogs and prefers to place Whippets in homes within a reasonable driving distance from the foster home. If the WRAP volunteer fostering a dog does not live in your state you may contact them at the email address shown above to inquire after you have submitted an adoption application.
