Meet Brie, a playful 4-year-old whippet being fostered in Southern California who loves to play Kissy Face and is ready to warm her way right into your heart (and onto your lap)!

This “special needs” girl is looking to live a long and healthy life with a family who is passionate about rescue and is committed to nurturing and caring for a pup with a few extra needs—she is ready to settle in and live her absolute best life! Brie was born with a unique condition and has fully recovered, but she is on a special regimen to keep her feeling her best and zooming happily through life. Because of her condition, she needs a home with a yard. This playful, silly girl thrives on consistency and routine, especially when it includes regular walks, basking in the sunshine, and playtime. Barking dogs, loud noises and people she doesn’t know worry her a bit, so she does wear a super stylish safety harness on walks.

She’s a total “velcro dog,” so wherever you go… she goes too! Your shadow, your cuddle buddy, your biggest fan. She forms a deep bond with her person and is happiest when she’s close by. Bonus points if her adopter is more of a homebody than a social butterfly as that is what she is used to.

She hasn’t been tested with kids or cats, but she would love a confident male whippet pal to hang out, play and do zoomies with (but no dog parks for this girl)! She doesn’t love the crate but is getting more used to it every day.

She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, slightly clingy (in the best way!) companion who will fill your days with sweetness and your couch with snuggles, she might just be your perfect match.

Introducing Lucky!

Lucky is a stunning 3.5 yr old black and white male whippet looking for his forever home in Southern California.

Typical of the breed, he is a very sweet, sensitive and loving boy. He loves to snuggle on the couch with his people just as much as he loves exploring his surroundings on his daily walks. He is a very affectionate dog and loves giving kisses to everyone he meets. He is generally good on lead but can pull a bit if something really interests him.

Lucky gets along well with the female and male whippets in his foster home but has not been tested with cats so would not recommend a home with cats as they interest him a bit too much on walks. He likes cuddling with the other whippets in his foster home but prefers to be the cuddler, not the cuddlee. He gets overly excited when around small dogs so homes with medium to large dogs would be best for him and his new family.

Because of his enthusiasm, the ideal home would have one or two younger, playful whippets and no small children. When he first arrived in his foster home, he would jump on people but we’ve been working on that and he’s much better now.

Lucky really loves chasing tennis balls so a yard where he can do that is a plus.

He’s a tall, stealthy boy and food on the counter is something he can’t resist, so he has taught his foster mom to make sure all food is put away. He is very food motivated and will sit and give you his paw for treats.

He is used to having someone home throughout the day and needs a home where his people are gone no longer than 4 hours at a time.

Lucky is, neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on his vaccinations, and house and crate trained.
