From Hobgoblin: Hi! My name is Hobgoblin, but you can call me Goblin or Gobs of Hobs or even Hobs! I was part of a large rescue in Texas after my owner died. I landed in a great home where I am learning to be a house dog, potty training, impulse control and basic good manners. I am used to being in a crate when people are not around and I’ve had the chance to meet lots of new dogs, too! I love playing with 3 dogs in my foster home and I’m very respectful of older dogs in the house.

From his Foster: Goblin is a very sweet, silly, male whippet who can be a little shy in new situations and around new things – he’s still so young that lots of things are quite new! He is playing catch up after spending his early months in a pretty isolated situation. He is quick to adjust and is quite resilient when given time to assess things. He is also smart and learns quickly with positive reinforcement techniques. He loves food and loves to fetch and interact with people by bringing them a toy. He’s been lure coursing and could be a great and fun sport puppy for the right home. He is still a puppy, and will need ongoing support and training. He is close to potty trained, but mostly because I take him out frequently in a secure yard or on leash walks so he can learn good habits and to potty outside of the house. He sleeps through the night in a crate close to my bed so if he does need to go out, he will tell me.

If you have the time and energy to devote to Goblin’s development into a super pup, fill out the WRAP adoption application before contacting the volunteer.

An adoption application is REQUIRED to be submitted before you contact a WRAP foster volunteer about this rescue or others currently available for adoption. Please submit an application. WRAP volunteers may respond to applicants and will make final decisions on adoptions. We will keep your application on file for six months.

WRAP does not ship dogs and prefers to place Whippets in homes within a reasonable driving distance from the foster home. If the WRAP volunteer fostering a dog does not live in your state you may contact them at the email address shown above to inquire after you have submitted an adoption application.
