Hopper is a shy, 2-year-old boy looking for a forever home. This quiet boy sometimes catches his foster brother/sister by surprise when he unexpectedly “grumbles,” but for the most part is a very quiet guy. He loves to snuggle with his humans and foster siblings, and is so gentle with his toys. He is learning to use the bell when it is time to go potty outside, and has quickly learned that using the bell also means he gets to lay outside in the sun. Due to his shyness, Hopper would do best with an older whippet companion. He gets along well with his foster siblings, but sometimes can get overwhelmed. He is crate trained, getting more comfortable on the leash and loves to stop and smell the flowers when out on walks! He has been cat-tested and does well with kids.

Hopper is a handsome brindle and white puppy who started out being the most reserved of his brother and sisters. But he’s quickly becoming courageous, outgoing and more sure of himself. He loves to cuddle and will ask to be held in your lap. He loves to play with his sister Marbles and his foster siblings.

Hopper is clean and quiet in a crate, and rides beautifully in the car. He is getting the hang of potty training, and learning how to enjoy baths and nail trims. His favorite spot to relax is the coziest, fluffiest bed he can find.

Hopper is being fostered in central Iowa. His foster mom would prefer homes for Hopper in the Central Iowa area, or also in the Minneapolis/St. Paul or Kansas City areas. He would love a home with another dog who would enjoy a puppy sibling and to show him the ropes of being a great family dog.
