This is Rufous. He is a very sweet, big boy, at 46 pounds! He is very active and loves to play and run, and may enjoy racing and lure coursing. He also loves water, so he may also like dock diving. He’s also a very easy going couch potato, loves to give hugs and is very good with our kids. He is not good with cats. Rufous is crate trained, neutered and up to date on his shots and heartworm.
He would be better in a home with female dogs. The potential adoptive home should be within a 4 hour drive from the San Antonio area and a home check will be required. A fully fenced yard is also required. He has a few minor issues that can be discussed in person.
An adoption application is REQUIRED to be submitted before you contact a WRAP foster volunteer about this rescue or others currently available for adoption. Please submit an application. WRAP volunteers may respond to applicants and will make final decisions on adoptions. We will keep your application on file for six months.
WRAP does not ship dogs and prefers to place Whippets in homes within a reasonable driving distance from the foster home.
