Ivy is young approximately 10 month old female white & Black Whippet that came from a hoarding situation. She and 18 other whippets were living all together isolated from the normal outside world. These dogs unfortunately have never been properly socialized so are slowly coming out of their shells with time and lots of patience and understanding. With Ivy being on the younger side she will hopefully blossom quicker. She will do best in a home with at least one other dog to help her build the confidence that she will need to thrive in her new home. Due the circumstances Ivy and all of the whippets have lived in they certainly will require a safe and structured home and we feel would not be suitable with children under 10. Ivy is now in a foster home where she will get acclimated in a true home type setting. Ivy weights approximately 25 lbs and has been spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. Ivy has mastered her crate training and potty training. Down the road we also feel Ivy would benefit from basic obedience training. We are also requiring a completely fenced in yard for her safety. If you think that you would be able to provide a proper home and meet the qualifications, please fill out an application. Please note at this time we are only considering homes that are no more than three hours from the Chicagoland area.

Rollie is a larger boy and a bit rambunctious. He is very active. He learns very quickly, but is in need of a special home with sighthound experience and dog training.
A human home most of the time and a large yard to run in would be a huge advantage. No children under 10 and absolutely no cats or small dogs as he has a very high prey drive.
Rollie will be 2 in August 2019.
